Job Description

The Branch Executive Director provides leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operations of the Saleeby Family YMCA.  The branch currently offers membership, swim lessons, after-school care, summer day camp, summer feeding program and youth sports.  The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring that programs, membership, facilities, staff, and financial resources are effectively managed in support of the YMCA's mission. The position requires strong operational leadership, sound financial management, staff development, excellent customer service, and the ability to build relationships with members and the community.

Qualifications
  1.     Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business management.
  2.     Four or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
  3.     Ability to direct operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, monitoring of branch budget,      and program development.
  4.     Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of 
        the community.
  5.     Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
  6.     Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
  7.     YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred.
  8.     CPR and First Aid certifications within 60 days of hire.
Essential Functions

Strategic & Operational Leadership

·        Implement strategic plan priorities to drive membership and program growth

·        Foster a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs which support the Y mission, goals, and                   strategies

·        Manage and monitor branch operating budget and meet or exceed budget targets

·        Ensure the safety and maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment

·        Develop and direct high-quality relationship-based member engagement strategies. Model relationship-building               skills (including Listen First) in all interactions with staff, volunteers, members, and the community.

·        Serve as a member of Y management and support the overall objectives of the YMCA

·        Perform other duties as assigned

Staff & Member Engagement

·        Oversee staff recruitment, training, supervision, meetings, and evaluations, while partnering with department                 leaders to coordinate programs, staffing, facility use, and member services

·        Foster a welcoming and mission-driven work culture aligned with YMCA values

·        Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participants 

·        Support membership growth through program innovation and engagement 

Community Relations

·        Actively representing the YMCA in the community, building relationships with local organizations, schools, and                 stakeholders 

·        Develop partnerships with local businesses, government agencies, and community organizations
