This position supports the work of the Merrimack Valley YMCA, a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
The Executive Assistant serves as a trusted partner to the President & CEO and a key contributor to the effective operation of the Association. This position provides high-level administrative, operational, and strategic support while helping to ensure organizational priorities, governance activities, and key initiatives are executed successfully.
The Executive Assistant serves as a primary point of coordination among executive leadership, the Board of Directors, donors, community partners, volunteers, and other stakeholders. Success in this role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, resourceful, and capable of anticipating needs, solving problems, and supporting organizational effectiveness at the highest level.

Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Significant experience providing executive-level administrative, operational, or project support.
• Experience supporting a CEO, President, senior executive, or Board of Directors strongly preferred.

The Executive Assistant serves as a strategic partner to the President & CEO and is responsible for supporting the effective management of executive priorities, organizational communications, governance activities, and stakeholder relationships.
Executive and Leadership Support
Provide proactive support to the President & CEO by managing priorities, coordinating communications, preparing materials, facilitating meetings, and ensuring effective follow-through on organizational commitments and initiatives.
Board and Governance Administration
Support the Board of Directors and board committees through the coordination of meetings, governance documentation, communications, and administrative processes that contribute to effective board engagement and oversight.
Strategic Coordination and Project Management
Assist in advancing organizational goals by tracking priorities, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, monitoring progress, and promoting accountability for key organizational deliverables.
Stakeholder and Community Relations
Support the President & CEO's relationships with donors, volunteers, community partners, civic leaders, and other stakeholders.
Administrative and Operational Support
Manage executive office operations and administrative functions while maintaining efficient systems, accurate records, confidentiality, and effective organizational processes.
Meetings, Events, and Executive Logistics
Coordinate executive meetings, special events, travel, and other organizational activities.
Reporting and Information Management
Prepare reports, presentations, briefing materials, and other information that supports executive decision-making.
Special Projects
Lead or support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the President & CEO.
