Batter up! At the YMCA, everyone get's a chance to learn and play! This program will introduce T-ball to young children, allowing them to learn the basic skills of baseball in a positive and fun atmosphere with experienced and encouraging coaches. Most importantly, kids will be learning sportsmanship, teamwork, and making friends while they have a blast playing baseball!

Your rookie athlete will focus on sportsmanship, teamwork and self-esteem in this parent-child participation program. Sports offered are flag football, basketball, soccer and T-ball, focusing on one sport at a time. Each sports session will run for eight weeks and each class will be 45 minutes. This program is designed to give rookie athletes an opportunity to develop their sports skills in a structured, fun and safe environment while working and spending quality one-on-one time with their parent.

Each sport follows a curriculum to help develop your child’s skill development along with their motor skills with appropriate exercises with age-appropriate equipment. All participants will get a Rookie Sports T-shirt.

Note: Parent participation is highly encouraged. Parents and/or guardians need to remain at the court/field with their child.
