[CHICAGO, ILLINOIS] – April 27, 2020 - The health and safety of our staff, our members and program participants, and the 10,000 communities we serve is and always has been a top priority for the YMCA.
As Ys across the country look to reopen facilities and resume normal operations, YMCA of the USA is providing them with guidance and tools to support them doing so safely, effectively and responsibly.
Ultimately, each local Y will decide if, when and how to reopen their own facilities, based on the guidance of federal, state and local officials and health authorities.
YMCA of the USA will continue to monitor the ever-evolving situation and adjust the support and resources we are providing to local Ys according to the latest information and direction from government officials and health authorities.
