Preschool With The YMCA

Developing Our Youth • Multiple Locations

The most formative time in a child's development occurs within the first five years, which is why we put so much careful planning into our preschools and ensure our staff has a tremendous amount of experience, skill, and knowledge within the child care field.

While each child is unique and develops at his or her own rate, we also believe that they are strong, capable learners who learn best through social and environmental interactions. That's why our specialized preschool programs provide opportunities for young children to learn through play, both individually and in large (or small) groups, stimulating each child's development in a natural, home-like setting.

Our hope is that our preschools will feel like home to you and your children, filled with nurturing love and care.  We currently have spots open!

Let's Celebrate • February 9, 2019 • 8:00am-1:00 pm

Ride alone or form a team of five riders to support; one team per bike. Have a team rider for the entire 5-hour ride, so a bike is not left empty. New Look and New Feel for the New Year!

Keeping You Informed • New Entrance to Child Watch

We are excited to announce your YMCA is ready to undergo a short but substantial transformation. Beginning November 28, we will overhaul the front lobby area in an effort to allow for better flow and experience for everyone entering the facility. When the remodel is complete, our facility will have a more modern look and feel that better reflects our community.

Important Renovation Information

Our hope is that this project will finish late January allowing for the new lobby to be fully functional just after the start of the New Year. Important things for members and participants to know:

  • Childwatch will operate from Kids Clubhouse during this time. Please note that children will be in cooler/outdoor conditions. Please remember to send your child in proper clothing as well as apply sunscreen.
  • Please plan for more time when parking and entering the facility. There is still additional parking in the National University parking lot, behind our soccer arena.
  • The front entrance will be completely closed off.  The only entrance in or out of the facility will be located on the northwest corner of the building near Overland Ave.

We thank you for your patience as we work to better your Y. In order to make your visit to Toby Wells YMCA an enjoyable one during this time, we encourage you to:

  • Sign up for facility text alerts by texting TWFACILITY to 84483.
  • Register for all programs online at www.ymca.org as this will allow you to skip the lines at the registration desk.
  • Contact us at [email protected] with any questions

Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons

Swim with Confidence • December-February • Mulitple days and times

Private swim lessons at the YMCA are a great way to improve swimming skills and water safety techniques of any level. With private one-on-one swim lessons, an instructor can spend more time with a student, helping overcome obstacles which may require more time or dedication than a standard swim lesson with multiple students could allow for. Semi-private swim lessons provide the option to learn with a friend while still enjoying the personalized attention and focus of a dedicated instructor.
