Spirit of Community Support Your Local YMCA

Peninsula Family YMCA Expansion Campaign

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

The Peninsula Family YMCA has been serving the Ocean Beach, Point Loma and Midway communities for almost 50 years, initially in schools, churches and parks. Our structure was built in 1977 to provide a pool and community center in the current location. Additions were completed in 2005 and 2011, constructing new facilities to meet current and future service needs. We  continue to partner with neighborhood churches and local schools to provide programs out in the community. Over 8,000 community residents are served by our local Y in memberships or programs each year.

Our Y focuses on building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. The area we live and work constitutes a diverse range of culture and socioeconomic levels, and the YMCA brings people together. While our community is a wonderful place to be, we face certain health, education and lifestyle issues. Our current facilities, built for previous generations and different purposes, are in urgent need for updates and expansion so that we can continue to make an impact for years to come.

Help us build a new Peninsula Family YMCA that better serves our local community.

DONATE NOW

BE A PART OF OUR NEW YMCA FOR DECADES TO COME

Special recognition will be given for donations of $500 or more on our commemorative donor wall display. Consider honoring someone special by purchasing a commemorative airplane or cloud. Your name will be displayed for years to come at the T. Claude and Gladys B. Ryan Family YMCA in appreciation of your generosity. This unique opportunity will only be available until December 31, 2019 - as construction will begin in early 2020.
