Amber, mother of 7 year old camper Jordan, recognizes the service and impact that the Y can provide for a family like hers.
Anxious at the thought of their first summer away from each other, Amber needed a camp that would provide peace of mind. She reached out to the Y for more information, explaining everything she needed from a camp provider and her fears based on past experiences with damaging childcare environments.
She found everything she was looking for and more with her experience at the Y. The staff sat down with her and answered all of her questions, helped her navigate scholarship opportunities and applications, and hand tailored a summer schedule that balanced specialty and traditional camps.
After having sat down for over an hour one-on-one with our staff, Amber's anxiety about her son's summer faded. Seeing that the staff went the extra mile and didn't treat her situation as abnormal showed Amber that the Y is there to provide for her and cares about the experiences of the diverse individuals and families we serve.

Women's Wellness Weekend

Cymer Digital Studio
Cymer Digital Studio is a learning environment exclusive to Mission Valley YMCA outfitted with high-tech tools and professional-quality digital equipment.
You can utilize the studio by attending a class or program there, such as Youth Robotics or Adult Photoshop, or by attending open studio hours.
CPR and First Aid Workshops
The YMCA provides a CPR and first aid certification training course that covers basic CPR for adults, children, and infants, as well as two-person administrated CPR. The course addresses airway management, bag valve use, and AED training. Upon completion, the certification card remainds valid for two years. All participants receive an AHA manual to use during class.
