Essential Oils Workshop

Spring Into Wellness • October 10, 2018 • 11:00am • Ages 13+

Come and join us for our very first class focused opn achieving health and wellness using the power of Essential Oils! Learn the basics of using Essential Oils - what they are, how to use them safely, and dilute them properly. We’ll go over the many benefits and uses of a variety of oils. After we cover the ins and outs of Essential Oils, we’ll use the oils and other natural ingredients to make some goodies to take home.

Babysitter Training Course

Gain Skills • October 14 • 12:00-4:00 pm • Ages 12+

This course, taken along with CPR for the Babysitter, will provide a complete curriculum for successful babysitting. Learn phone skills, basic emergency prevention measures, as well as how to properly care for and entertain children. All course materials supplied. Please bring a snack and a doll or stuffed animal to class. Group sessions are available.

CPR For The Babysitter Course

Gain Skills • October 21 • 1:00-4:00 pm • Ages 12+

Pediatric Basic Life Support is a must for all babysitters. This course, along with the Babysitter Training Course, will build a strong, responsible and qualified babysitter. Babysitters will learn CPR for the adult, child and infant, management of foreign body airway obstructions, along with injury prevention and child safety. Participants should bring a light snack. Group sessions are available.

Move To The Music • Tuesdays • 4:30pm

Join us for an all new and exciting dance class devoted to improved posture, muscle toning and weight loss. According to Dr. Carolle Jean-Murat, M.D., Belly Dance can burn up to 300 calories per hour! Additionally, Bellydance has been proven to be great for exercising the arms and carrying muscles without adding any impact into your workout!

Gravity Demos

The Power Is In You • October 16-October 20

The GRAVITY Training System (GTS) has a rolling glide board, various resistance levels and a dynamic cable pulley system that allow you to use your own bodyweight against the pull of gravity. All of this means you can do more than 250 different exercises! GRAVITY offers an efficient workout by engaging all major muscle groups for strength and endurance training, stretching, Pilates, and core training in every exercise.

Healthy Habits for Adults Workshop Series

Join us for a three-part workshop series that covers topics such as benefits of rainbow eating, vegetarian vs. meat-based diets, sleep issues and more!

Trail Walkers

Trail Walkers group led by Karen Barry, who has been hiking all over San Diego since 2008. She will lead you on a fun walk and visit a different trail each month.

Pickelball Clinic: Intermediate
8:45-9:45am • October 23 & October 30

Come and learn to play Pickleball at the Y. Clinic will highlight court set up and equiment needs, basic stroke skills and basic rules and scoring. Equipment will be provided. Wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes bring water.

Julian and Hubbell Studio and Home Tour
8:30 am, October 11

Spend the day in Julian enjoying the town. Optional add-on to the trip is a tour of the breathtaking Hubbell Studio and Home which blends naturally with nature.

Trunk Or Treat

Spooky Fun For Everyone • 5:30 pm, October 19

Grab your goblins and ghouls it is time for Trunk or Treat! Join us at the Mission Valley YMCA for some spooktacular fun! This family friendly event will include ghoulishly decorated car trunks, candy, games, and much more! Trunk or Treat is free to Y members and $3.00 per child for participants.
