Job Description

We are looking for an inspirational leader for our Vice President of Camping and Retreat Services to help us create lifelong experiences. The Vice President of Camping and Retreat Center Services is responsible for the implementation of the strategic direction for the camp including capitol campaign, volunteer and community relationships, and facilities planning and operation of a  water centric camp.  The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing, fulfilling experience for all Camp Letts participants. Additionally, this position will develop and maintain community and donor relations to help further the YMCA’s Mission.

Housing is provided as part of a comprehensive compensation package with a salary range of $90,000 to $115,000.

Qualifications

Ø  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Recreation or equivalent, Master’s degree preferred

Ø  At least 10 years experience the field

Ø  Risk management success related to COVID mitigation and protocols

Ø  Experience with managing a successful capitol campaign

Ø  Prior experience managing a water-centric camp

Ø  Proven track record of innovative camp and retreat center programming

Ø  Strong property management skills

Ø  Experience working with a volunteer board or committee

Ø  At least 3 years leadership experience with a comparably-sized budget

Ø  Experience with civic organization and community integration

Ø  Demonstrated success building strong partnerships among a wide variety of stakeholders to advance a common cause

Ø  Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
