Geauga Family YMCA has an immediate need for a Lead Maintenance Technician.
Job Description

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating and/or providing timely and complete repair and preventative maintenance for buildings and equipment, which may involve resolving complex maintenance issues. for buildings and equipment, which may involve resolving complex maintenance issues. The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing leadership of the HVAC and Preventative Maintenance program for their assigned branch locations.

  • High School diploma
  • Vocational training preferred
  • 3-5 years' experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities technician or journeymen
  • Substantial experience in carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, general building systems and related areas.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineered
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office
  • Ability and current license to drive with record that meets YMCA standards
Essential Functions
  • Provides overall coordination and implementation of buildings, grounds and equipment maintenance, including planning and implementing preventative maintenance, landscaping and housekeeping program.
  • Performs maintenance of building (s), including HVAC, pools, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting and general repairs. Resolves complex maintenance problems. Keeps related
  • Leads the HVAC maintenance program for assigned branch locations, provides oversight, training and development to Level I Maintenance Technicians for the preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of HVAC equipment.
  • Completes repair projects and minor remodels in a timely manner.
  • Oversees all contractors that work in the facility and on the grounds. May request and review bids, and recommend selection of contractors to the VP of Property.
  • Works with outside agencies such as fire, health, building depts., etc. to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations related to buildings and grounds.

  • Complete and maintain necessary reports (i.e. repair/maintenance logbook) for each branch/facility.

Required Certifications
  • Current State of Ohio HVAC License
