Job Description

This Association role working with the Y’s program directors will establish and coordinate best practices to ensure exceptional childcare and day camp service delivery throughout The Granite YMCA’s 25+ child care (8 weeks- 13 years old) and 7-day camps (4 to 18 years of age) Association sites.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Multi–site Child Care Director and knowledgeable in ACA day camp guidelines/accreditation is preferable
  • Experience with the budgetary responsibility of $3 million or higher, preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Ed, Recreation or relevant program experience with an alternative 4-year degree
  • Experience in staff development and training, leading staff teams and coordinating community collaborations, along with experience in establishing MOU’s with school districts and other partners
  • Strong understanding and accountability for ensuring compliance monitoring to state regulations for licensed child care and day camp programs
  • Experience in developing and monitoring financial projections, budget proformas for growth models, and assessment of program effectiveness
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience setting and managing priorities
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining an inclusive culture of member service excellence
  • Involvement in local child care coalitions and knowledge of Social- Emotional Learning trends is also a desirable skill set for the ideal candidate
Essential Functions

The ideal candidate will have noticeable experience ensuring high-quality enrichment, best practices in day to day site operations, proven efforts in risk management procedures and licensing compliance, comprehensive new and tenured staff development, and a proven track record of supporting and generating new childcare and day camp opportunities in an expanding service area.
