The YMCA of Highland Lakes is located north of historic Austin, Texas in the charming Central Texas community of Burnet, Texas.
The YMCA of the Highland Lakes at Galloway Hammond has an annual budget of $2million and over 1,500 membership units. The facility has 60,000 square feet of programmed space, a Jr. Olympic indoor pool, therapy pool, splash area, cardio theatre, new multi-generational center, two group exercise rooms and 5 acres of sports fields. The YMCA of the Highland Lakes at Galloway Hammond has some exciting opportunities that this position will play a key part of including: an aggressive growth campaign; a plan to increase member involvement and launch new programs, and a need to reach out to underserved communities.
This position provides an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated and cause-driven professional to work closely with the Board of Directors and key community stakeholders. This Y has a strong, committed group of volunteers that are active in the management of the branch. Success of this position will require a cultural “fit” as well as the ability to effectively lead staff and volunteers. The Branch Executive Director will represent and promote the YMCA as a leader in our community and must be able to maintain positive, collaborative relationships with local organizations, businesses and government entities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, overseeing the total operation of the branch, including membership, marketing, program development, staff and volunteer development, facility management and maintenance, financial development, fundraising, community relations and collaborations with community agencies. The branch executive will develop, manage and monitor the branch operating budgets and ensure budget commitments are met or exceeded through sound financial stewardship of YMCA resources. The Branch Executive Director is responsible for overall growth in membership and implementing innovative programs in aquatics, health and fitness, teens, youth and adult sports, childcare/summer camp, seniors, and community outreach.
The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is $28 million Association focusing on mission-driven, not-for-profit services with a vision of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities throughout Williamson County. Our organization is home to the largest school-age childcare provider in Williamson County and health and fitness programs that improve the quality of life for over 45,000 members ranging from preschool through senior citizens. The Association currently encompasses 5 facility Branches, a centralized Childcare Department, a Metropolitan Services Branch, and over 125 program sites committed to meeting the needs of our diverse population. The YMCA of Greater Williamson County responds to community needs with effective community-based programs that enrich the quality of spirit, mind and body for all people throughout Williamson and Burnet Counties.
Salary: $75,000-$85,000 annually
