Job Description

The Lakewood YMCA Gymnastics Center is looking for a  full time Gymnastics Manager to manage their Xcel/ Competitive team. The Lakewood Family YMCA is a rapidly growing and progressive branch that is looking for an individual who can positively contribute to our team. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Gymnastics Manager will be responsible for managing and supervising the activities of of a program with the direct support of the Program Director safe, enjoyable and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement.

Qualifications
  1. College Degree and/or equivalent experience required.
  2. CPR, First Aid and AED certification required.
  3. 4 or more years of experience in Competitive team gymnastics
  4. Experience in program leadership and staff supervision required.
  5. Gymnastics background and/or organized sport involvement required.
  6. Ability to handle multiple assignments, organizational skills, basic PC and typing skills required.
  7. Additional Requirements: Criminal Clearance: Including Fingerprints and background clearance
  8. Health Screening with Neg. Tb and Neg. Drug Test Screening
  9. Complete all required online trainings.
Essential Functions
  1. Manages program activities to meet YMCA objectives (see detailed list below).
  2. Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance.
  3. Manages the establish management of new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plansXcel Competitive Team
  4. Organization, Lesson Plans, Schedules, Rotations Staffing/Supervising/Training Competitive Team Coaches
  5. Organize and Register Athletes for Team Competitive Schedules
  6. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, may organize and schedule program registrations. May review and process program scholarship applications.
  7. Assists in the development of program budget.
  8. Manges use of facilities for program activities and events.
  9. Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.
  10. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner.
  11. Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program.
  12. Attend all staff meetings, trainings and other YMCA functions as required by Supervisor.
  13. Maintain open lines of communication with participant, staff and supervisor.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
