The Hockomock Area YMCA is hiring an Assistant Aquatics Director for our Franklin & Foxboro Branches!
Job Description

The Assistant Aquatics Director is responsible for the execution of swim lessons, lifeguarding, and the delivery of safety classes as needed.  This position includes supervision and management of part-time aquatics staff, and building and managing relationships with staff and members.  Responsibilities include assisting with the management of the overall operations of the indoor and outdoor facilities.  The position also ensures safety standards are met and staff is educated relative to these standards.  The Assistant Aquatics Director works in both the Franklin and Foxboro branches.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university required
  • Prior Aquatics management experience is desired, preferably in a YMCA environment
  • Prior lifeguard and/or swim instructor experience, preferred
  • Strong relationship building skills and supervisory skills are essential
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Some experience with budget management
  • Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain required certifications
