The Milwaukee YMCA is currently seeking a Lead Cook for our resident camp location, Camp Minikani.

Must be 21 years old and prior experience with youth and/or a food service setting is preferred
Previous kitchen experience strongly preferred; Safe Serve Certification strongly preferred.
Assist the Food Service Manager in planning, preparation, serving, and clean-up of daily meals for campers and staff
In the absence of the Food Service Manager, supervise the kitchen staff and kitchen operations
Directly oversees the inventory of supplies and food and reports any needed items to the Food Service Manager for re-order
Assist the Food Service Manager in working and preparing the kitchen staff schedule.
Ensure that all food service preparation, storage, and serving areas are in an orderly and sanitary condition, while adhering to all local state and federal laws/regulations
Identify, minimize, and eliminate, where possible, any risks that could cause accidents
Interpret safety and health standards to food service staff
Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
