132 acre co-ed summer camp and retreat center on the shores of Lake Beulah offering traditional summer camp programing and groups and retreats services.
The Assistant Camp Director of Groups and Retreats is responsible for weekend guests, Team Building, and Family Camps, with shared responsibility of the summer resident camp operation and program. The Assistant Camp Director of Groups/Retreats will also assist the Environmental Education Department in delivering program needs to accommodate customers. The responsibility of this staff in this position will provide programming of weekend groups, facility management for group use, inventory and equipment accountability, fiscal management of the Groups and Retreats budget, and marketing to potential guests. The Assistant Camp Director will also assist the Executive Director in the operation, supervision and program quality of summer resident camp, provide support for the Annual Campaign as a team solicitor, and contribute in developing special events. As well as other duties not assigned in this description based on the needs of camp’s success.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
CPR/First-Aide certified within the first 90 days of employment.
Strong leadership and organizational skills
1. Develop and implement new programs for groups and retreat guests.
2. Maintain current programs with focus on quality.
3. Facilitate program areas for guests.
4. Train staff in program delivery and troubleshooting.
5. Coach staff on program development, implementation and delivery.
6. Maintain program areas to keep them safe, clean, and functional.
7. Host group meals and direct groups dining hall procedures.
8. Oversee Summer Resident program.
9. Assist in developing an innovative summer camp program.
10. Order supplies and maintain inventory of program equipment, arts and crafts supplies, and program supplies.
11. Maintain waterfront equipment (kayaks, canoes, sailboats, swimming area, rowboats, motorboats, and fishing equipment)
12. Provide upkeep and management of land-based equipment (sports balls, archery, pack out equipment, etc.)
13. Assist Environmental Education in program delivery.
14. Assist in maintaining and facilitating climbing wall and equipment.
15. Purchase and maintain budgeted equipment.
