Only 20 minutes to Rocky Mountain National Park, Camp Chief Ouray offers scenic views in every direction. The camp is located on the property of Snow Mountain Ranch in Granby, Colorado.
Kitchen Staff are responsible for assisting in preparation of meals, assisting with dishes, and ensuring the dining hall and kitchen are clean. They will be responsible for knowing and following Colorado Department of Health guidelines for a safe kitchen and ensure compliance of camp staff while in or around the kitchen area.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to prioritize tasks and efficiently manage time.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required.
Must have current certification in CPR/First Aid or be willing to obtain certification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR ALL CAMP CHIEF OURAY STAFF:
Create a safe space for all campers, families, and staff. Promote safe work practices to allow for development and growth for all.
Possess the mental, social, and emotional skills necessary to build rapport and positive relationships, putting camper needs first
Respond to camper and customer requests for service, troubleshoot problems and develop solutions in a patient and respectful manner.
Contribute to a cooperative and positive camp community, be a team player
Be responsible for the upkeep of the camp facility and cleanliness of camp. Report any repairs in a timely manner.
Assist other departments as needed
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR KITCHEN STAFF:
Participate in all pre-camp trainings.
Assist in safe food preparation following instruction from the Head Cook and/or Assistant Kitchen Manager.
Ability to follow protocols and safe practices when working with different food allergies and/or preferences with safety being the priority.
Assist in keeping a clean work space and helping with dishes.
Ability to work independently and problem solve on assigned tasks.
Ability to follow health standards set forth by the Colorado Department of Public Health.
