How you Will Power our Purpose (Job Summary)
As the Director of Youth and Family, your mission-driven leadership will be pivotal in overseeing and guiding our Youth and Family programming and services. You'll prioritize delivering exceptional customer service and enriching experiences for our participants. Your responsibilities will encompass three key areas: promoting the development of healthy lifestyles, actively engaging participants in YMCA programs and activities, and championing values-based and evidence-based initiatives for the betterment of both children and adults within the community. The member relations aspect of this position requires that relationship building be a top priority at all times, attending to the needs and requests of members, program participants, volunteers, and all people associated with the YMCA in a courteous and friendly manner.
The Greater Austin YMCA is a nonprofit community enterprise with a purpose of elevating quality of life in central Texas by boldly expanding access for all children, adults, families and seniors in our dynamically growing community. Founded in 1953 and anchored in three Central Texas counties, the Y has served close to 500,000 people and provided more than $30M in financial assistance and program subsidies over the past 10 years. We operate 8 community centers and Camp Moody along with 6 early childhood education centers, 60 afterschool programs on school campuses in four districts, and 20 summer camps, with 1500 staff team members, 1000 volunteers, and a $48M annual operating budget.
