Program Manager - Counseling & Social Services

The YMCA of Greater Monmouth County is looking for a Program Manager passionate about family and mental health services! 
Job Description

The function of the Program Manager is to provide clinical oversight and to assist in the administration of the program services including interviewing, assisting in monitoring levels and quality of service, and building positive community relationships through ongoing collaboration and communication with relevant professionals and agencies. 

Provides direct supervision to clinical staff and interns related to mental health, substance abuse and or co-occurring services.  Facilitates the screening of urgent intakes as necessary.  Handles crisis calls and situations as needed, in compliance with best practice principles.     

Qualifications
  • The Program Manager must possess a master’s degree in social work accompanied by a NJ licensure as an LCSW, CCS and LCADC
  • The Program Manager must possess or be eligible for a supervision certification to supervise intermediate level licensed clinicians and interns.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of cultural competence, sensitivity and responsiveness.
  • Must possess strong communication, writing and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Valid NJ Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and valid NJ Motor Vehicle Insurance.
Essential Functions
  • Works with Associate Outpatient Director and Vice President on development strategies for mental health programs including identifying potential new schools and satellite locations.
  • Acts as agency representative and liaison while maintaining positive relationships with school and satellite staff, community gatekeepers and referral sources.
  • Recruits, screens, interviews, hires and trains counselors and interns.
  • Provides ongoing administrative and clinical supervision for staff and interns.
  • Oversees compliance with licensing, funding and accreditation requirements for staff and interns under direct supervision.
  • Works with supervisees to resolve performance issues.
  • Assigns client intakes based on eligibility and appropriateness.
  • Manages the scheduling of staff and interns throughout all treatment locations ensuring adequate space and supplies are in place.
  • Acquires knowledge, ongoing, regarding standards and requirements for licensure, accreditation and funding.
  • Adheres to confidentiality requirements as stated by law and licensing standards.
  • Maintains a teamwork approach to supervisory duties and works cooperatively with the Outpatient Director and Vice President
  • Attends and actively participates in staff meetings and Clinical Case Conference.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of the Electronic Health Record.
  • Conduct performance reviews for all assigned staff.
  • Attend required agency meetings and trainings.
