Job Description Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc. Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc. Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues Install appliances and equipment Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc. Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation) Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment. Handles necessary repairs and maintenance. Installs equipment and appliances. Follows local and state building codes. Complies with all company safety regulations. Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports. Qualifications Proven experience as assistant director or other similar position Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems Experience using hand and electrical tools Ability to read technical manuals and drawings Very good communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds. Communicates effectively, speaking multiple languages is preferred. Collaborates with maintenance workers, maintenance managers, and contractors. High school diploma or equivalent Essential Functions Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts. Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches. Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
