This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Program Directors lead the day-to-day program delivery in all our program modes by leading program facilitators (coaching, scheduling, challenging, empowering), fundraising to support programs and campers, driving innovation, building community connections and recruiting groups, supporting a culture of safety, and providing at-the-scene oversight of experiences for campers in all our program modes including Summer Camp and School Year Programs.
1. Bachelor's degree or significant and related life experience.
2. Three years providing resident summer camp leadership.
3. Knowledge and experience using social and traditional media marketing platforms
4. Personal commitment to servant leadership and core YMCA values.
5. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social, ethnic, and economic segments of the community.
6. Attain Team Leader Certification within 1 year.
7. Attain required training within 90 days, CPR/O2/FA, New Staff Orientation, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood Borne Pathogens.
1. Bring staff together, coach, and build skills in staff to accomplish shared goals and program outcomes; is trusted and empowered to assign tasks to all levels of staff and expect completion.
2. Responsible for developing and leading dynamic experiences in all program modes; influencing program goals; leading design teams for camper experiences across all program modes; friendraising; recruiting and stewarding new campers/groups and donors.
3. Supports all program modes in the following ways, directed by the Executive Director: Summer Camp; Summer Retreats; Adventure Trips; Summer Focus Programs.
4. Provides fiscal support through directly fundraising and recruiting volunteers to support program and annual campaign growth.
5. Builds connections to build Summer Programs through new groups and partnering with other Non-Profits and Foundations.
6. Models Camp Fitch Core Values: Growth Mindset, Teamwork, and Servant Leadership.
7. Models relationship-building skills in alignment with Dare to Lead values. Responds to all participants and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner through empathetic and active listening.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS RELATED TO SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAMS:
1. Iterates summer programs through listening to staff and parents to design camper focused experiences that drive increased staff and camper retention. Follows up critiques from parents quickly and collaboratively with Vulnerability-Based Trust using Listen-First skills.
2. Leads all facets of summer including all hiring, staff development; budgeting, marketing, and logistics to ensure Camp Fitch is an inclusive program for staff, volunteers, and campers of all backgrounds.
3. Leads Summer Program Leadership Team to develop Friendship, Achievement, and Belonging in campers and staff.
4. Leads and develops marketing strategy for all Camp Fitch programs and fundraising goals.
5. Works with Executive Director to assure that experiences meet relevant internal and external standards (quality, safety, mission-alignment, innovation).
6. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT—Manages program budget to ensure revenue/expense and program services goals are achieved and completes variance reports.
7. Participates in evaluation of all aspects of experience delivery (supplies and equipment, staff interactions, food service, facility). Strongly supports activity that addresses identified problem areas.

Implements effective systems to develop volunteers at program, fundraising, and policy leadership levels. Secures resources and support for all philanthropic endeavors.
