Job Description

The Donor Development and Events Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and directing an integrated and comprehensive donor stewardship program.  Promoting engagement and connection with donors at all levels, with a focus on major donors.  This position also assists the branches with fundraising events specifically related to fundraising efforts.  The person needs to be a forward-thinking, collaborative, innovative, and energetic professional with proven success in donor stewardship and project management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience
  • Three or more years of experience in fundraising and donor recognition
  • Experience in a nonprofit environment is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, both written and verbal, strong editing skills, ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail
  • Proficient in using computers with related knowledge of software programs and the internet. Proficient in Microsoft Office products is required
Essential Functions
  • Develops and implements stewardship plans to include meaningful donor acknowledgement and recognition, timely written and oral communication, and creating donor experiences
  • Leads communication and execution of the stewardship plan
  • Administers donor recognition and thank you's through social media, website, and written communications
  • Assists with donor recognition program including capital recognition, annual campaign, and endowment in collaboration between Philanthropy and Marketing Departments
  • Assist with the Annual Breakfast including committee work, event planning and day of event leadership
  • Develop impact reports
  • Assist branch leadership staff with annual fundraising events including marketing, sponsorships, and event evaluation
  • Responsible for fundraising event software including but not limited to assessment and implementation software
  • Other duties as assigned
