Job Description

The Jorgensen Family YMCA is looking for candidates that are detail-oriented, organized, self-starters, cause-driven, energetic, and dependable team players to fill the position of Full-Time Administrative Assistant.


  • Minimum of 21 years of age with a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of office experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Possess strong organizational and supervisory abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products or the equivalent.
  • Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.


Essential Functions
  • Support: Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task with scheduling, typing, correspondence, and grant reporting. Assist the Executive Director and other staff with duties as assigned. Support the branch social media and other communication activities.
  • Collaborate: Provide branch management and branch employees with administrative support, including onboarding paperwork for newly hired employees, process incoming branch mail, coordinate meeting and event logistics, record, and type meeting minutes.
  • Lead: Learn branch database and program registration process, record keeping tasks for branch and association projects, obtain up-to-date rosters for branch board, sending mail and maintain special mailing lists, support special events, fundraising activities, and marketing for the branch needs.
