Job Description

The Administrator is responsible for the overall development, implementation, coordination, management and evaluation of the nutrition program to promote an interest in nutrition, commitment to meeting children’s nutritional needs, and an understanding of nutrition’s impact on child development. This position is approximately 80% administrative work and 20% in-person support of relevant programs.

For administrative work, this position acts as the coordinator of information and data required for program operation and regulatory compliance and assists with ordering and managing inventory. In-person support activities may include some limited food preparation, cooking, serving, kitchen clean up and food rescue.

  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in customer service, basic accounting and general office procedures
  • Ability to travel approximately 1x per quarter to varying Y locations across our service area in support of programs
  • Proficient use of Word, Excel and Outlook and general computer and tablet functions
  • Experience in food prep and distribution preferred, or willingness to learn
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent required

Essential Functions
  • Create and maintain monthly meal menus in accordance with CACFP & SFSP guidelines for all childcare programs
  • Monitor program budgets to meet fiscal objectives and manage program monthly billing
  • Maintain inventory of supplies & equipment, ordering and quality control as assigned
  • Process monthly paperwork of CACFP and SFSP for proper reimbursement
  • Identify additional revenue streams to further grow the program
  • Oversee day to day operations of all feeding programs
  • Supervise Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Staff
  • Support staffing of programs
  • Monitor all CACFP Programs
