Job Description

Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager and Payroll Specialist, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in aspects of recruitment, outreach, onboarding, and customer service to a diverse summer seasonal workforce. 

  • Collaborate with the program team and Communications Coordinator to implement recruitment campaign.
  • Together with the hiring manager, conduct outreach to prospective employees leading up to their arrival in summer.
  • Conduct and maintain record of background screenings as assigned. 
  • Monitor and follow-up with staff to ensure completion of onboarding tasks in ADP Workforce Now and UltraCamp.
  • Create customized onboarding folders, following-up with employees to ensure all documentation received. 
  • Serve as Check-in Coordinator as it relates to onboarding staff and “paperwork parties,” working in collaboration with Camp Office staff to ensure staff are fully onboarded in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide customer service to seasonal employees re: onboarding tasks such as registration for ADP to complete direct deposit, taxes and review company policies. 
  • Support international staff J1 visa holders with submission of social security applications to obtain social security cards in a timely fashion. 
  • Coordinate with local camp office staff to distribute and educate employees re: issuing and activating paycards.

Schedule & Hours

Remote part-time hours available until May 15th.  May 15th - July 30th up to 40 hours per week primarily onsite to facilitate onboarding tasks.  August 1 - 15th part-time hours available onsite.

Requires some evenings and weekends. 

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office including Excel as well as Google Workspace
  • Highly organized with attention to detail 
  • Effective use of a wide range of communication tools including the phone, texting, messaging, video conferencing, and emailing
  • Customer service oriented
  • Camp experience desired, not required.
