Associate Program Director: South Mountain YMCA Camps

Seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, outgoing individual to serve as Associate Program Director.  
Job Description

In conjunction with other professional camp staff to join the team responsible for planning, development, administration, growth and evaluation Conrad Weiser Overnight Camp, Bynden Wood Day Camp, and the Outdoor Center at South Mountain YMCA Camps.  This position will also contribute to marketing all programs as well as part of the hiring, supervising team for seasonal staff as well as budget management responsibilities. 


Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience.  YMCA Camping experience preferred.

Essential Functions

The Associate Program Director must have a high level of people skills, customer service, and program knowledge. 3 seasons of experience in a leadership role in a camp setting is required (Environmental Education, Outdoor Recreation, and Summer Camping). A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or equivalent work experience in leu of a degree. The ability to work a flexible schedule which will include nights and weekends is expected. This person will attain YMCA of the USA Team Leader Certification within the first 2 years of beginning the position.
