NATURE AND SCOPE:

Reporting to the Director of Properties Management, the Real Estate Project Manager supports real estate projects from formulation through execution. The Real Estate Project Manager will ensure timely project deliverables are met and in alignment with Association-wide strategic goals and priorities.

Qualifications
  • Assess and manage real estate projects to include scheduling, communication, quality evaluation, risks assessment, resource management, process flows, and monitoring of key performance indicators.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documentation.
  • Address areas of risk through the creation of action plans, status updates & escalation
  • Manage key real estate projects across functional areas working directly with senior leadership as needed.
  • Manage project vendors for cost, performance, and attainment to schedule.
  • Monitor and adhere to all assigned project budgets.
  • Lead change management efforts across projects as a member of the Real Estate & Facilities team.
  • Work effectively across departments to delegate tasks and responsibilities related to the assigned project scope.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables within assigned projects
  • Demonstrate initiative and drive within a fast-paced and fluid environment.
  • Maintain and manage knowledgebase associated with projects
  • Support department leads in their own knowledge management across Association departments and functions.
  • Data generation, reporting, and management.
  • Reporting, Benchmarking & Best Practice Sharing.
  • Acquire and summarize project vendor quotes.
  • Generate project and general purchase orders.
  • Organize meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering as needed.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, or quarterly reports as assigned.
  • Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports
  • Take minutes during meetings as needed.
  • Manage vendor invoice to ensure timely approval and payment.
  • Create and maintain electronic and physical filing systems. 
  • Support the VP of Property and Facility Management in stakeholder and operation meetings.
Essential Functions
  • Associate degree in construction management, real estate, or related field and 2+ years of construction or real estate project management experience OR a high school diploma and 4+ years of experience in construction or real estate project management
  • 2+ years of experience in project management  
  • Experience with management of capital project construction
  • Experience with commercial and office markets
  • Experience in and knowledge of supervision and budget management
  • Must be able to pass a background check and MVR
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, problem solve and possess effective time management skills.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, real estate, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in construction or real estate
  • 3+ years of experience in project management  
  • Experience in a non-profit or government environment

Ergonomics:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk on uneven surfaces; sit; handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl\. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
