Job Description
The Youth Development Specialist provides trauma-informed, culturally relevant, in-person youth
development services to sixty-five (65) youth per year per school, designed to promote protective factors and strengthen
resilience. Provides general client services and case management in a Montgomery County Public School.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required.
- Experience working with youth and parents from diverse populations. Experience working with the
- school system (preferred).
- Bilingual, Spanish/English
Essential Functions
- Provide youth development activities which may include sports, arts, outdoor recreation, gardening, community service projects, mentoring, and other activities that give purpose and encourage self-care, healing, and provide mutual peer support.
- Attend county-indicated trainings for youth development practitioners.
