Marketing Program Manager Youth Programs

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Marketing Program Manager to help support our youth programming. 
Job Description

As a Program Marketing Manager, you will lead all Youth Programs, Break Camps, Virtual Youth, and Program Registration marketing and communications campaigns alongside the Y’s ongoing advancements in youth development, social responsibility, online engagement, and helping kids reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience managing a spectrum of programs, particularly youth development, youth sports, corresponding virtual programs, and monetizing seasonal program registration cycles spanning both proactive and reactive efforts. This position is supported by the Marketing and Communications team and works closely with teammates and partners across our organization focusing on the Y’s priorities around member acquisition and retention, customer and staff experience, equity, and philanthropy.

Qualifications
  •  3-5 years of professional, non-internship marketing and communications experience, with a focus on leading campaigns
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills (sample work may be requested)
  • Commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Experience working with diverse communities (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, varying socio-economic statuses, etc.)
  • Experience working with youth and/or youth programming
  • Proven ability to be collaborative, organized, communicative, innovative, nimble and creative
  • Proficiency in the practical application of MS Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and Zoom
  • Proficiency in project management and collaborative systems such as Monday.com
  • Proficiency with marketing and sales automation systems such as Pardot and Salesforce
  • Ability and willingness to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on the first day and other online and in-person training as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field; additional or other applicable education, training, and experience necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered.
  • Experience in community impact and equity communications planning
  • Experience in crisis communications and reactive messaging
  • Experience with youth development, camps, arts, aquatics, gymnastics, youth sports, mobile applications, and/or health
  • Video scripting/production experience
  • Working knowledge of Adobe
Essential Functions
  • Identify marketing opportunities, synthesize work streams, and develop approaches to appropriately position the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties to key audiences such as members, youth, YMCA360 stakeholders, community partners, community members, volunteers, and more.
  • Define and execute a marketing plan for youth program registration cycles, break camps, youth sports, and programs centered on youth development that connect each program’s goals and milestones to stories and campaigns that increase engagement, enrollment, donations, and advocacy across the Y’s owned and paid channels, platforms, and networks.
  • Manage campaigns focused on youth development and fitness, youth sports, virtual and in-person youth programs, and break camps.
  • Source and share member and program stories for use across marketing channels.
  • Leverage data to make informed recommendations and decisions about future marketing opportunities.
  • Manage the delivery of projects and marketing tactics in collaboration with team members and program stakeholders to ensure initiatives are successful.
  • Advise stakeholders on external and internal communications related to youth development, sports, and engagement.
