Qualifications
- Previous experience as a competitive swimmer is required.
- Previous experience coaching youths is required.
- Previous experience working within web-based applications/platforms.
- Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, First-Aid & AED or be willing to obtain through the YMCA once hired.
Essential Functions
The Fox Cities YMCA Swim Team (FCYST) is hiring a head swim team coach for our growing competitive club. As a head coach, you’ll work with swimmers of all ages and abilities, sharing your experience as a competitive swimmer & athlete. Lead practices from both the water & from the dry deck and attend all swim meets, including being able to help host events. Coaches within the Y need to be excellent communicators, being able to share athletic information with parents about team activities, practices and events, along with helping to manage team staff. Swim coaches at the Y get to share their passion for the sport with the next generation of swimmers.
This is a full-time position. The FCYST swim team practices primarily in the evening with competitions over the weekends.
