Job Description

The Sports and Rec Coordinator will work to maintain current sports programming as well as create new programs for youth and adults to serve community need. 

Qualifications
  • Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, and AED. Training can be provided upon hire, and must be obtained within 90 days. Higher levels of certification are accepted. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills; detail-oriented.
  • Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Previous customer service; ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite (excel, word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Acquired or currently working towards a degree in fields pertaining to coaching, sports management, or health and wellness.
  • Managed Sports & Rec and/or other community-based programming for at least a year.
Essential Functions
  • Coordinating all Sports & Rec programming including but not limited to (taekwondo, fencing, youth sports, adult leagues, clinics, Miracle League adaptive baseball, rock wall, Homerun Derby, etc.) 
  • Evaluate community needs and develop programs to meet them.
  • Oversees all league registration, marketing, communication with teams, schedules, equipment needs/set-up, and all other coordination tasks. 
  • Assisting membership desk as needed, especially in the case of a league or special program starting with an influx of participants entering the facility. 
  • Help maintain neat and orderly sports & rec areas in the facility (gym, racquet courts, storage closets, rock wall, etc.). 
  • Maintain online gym schedule remains up to date.
  • Manage all gym rentals.
  • Manage all league roster and program participations forms. 
  • Manage budget for Sports & Rec department
