Job Description
The Jackson R. Lehman Family YMCA seeks an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Sports Director. A successful director will be an effective listener, strong team builder, and servant leader.
Qualifications
· Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
· Four-year degree preferred, but will consider an equivalent combination of education/work experience.
· One to two years of related experience preferred.
· Must exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
· Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Essential Functions
· Develop: Expand current sports programs to support youth and adult engagement while promoting program growth.
· Connect: Interact with members and guests to strengthen relationships with community organizations.
· Serve: Supervise volunteers and part-time staff while also supporting the overall objectives of the YMCA.
