The YMCA of Greater Long Beach is at $30M+ nonprofit organization with over 750 employees that continues to grow.  To help support the progress and impact our branches provide the underserved communities of the Greater Long Beach area, our Metropolitan Office is looking to add a savvy Director of Information Technology to its leadership team. 

The Director of IT will be responsible for overseeing all IT-related staff and activities, including the infrastructure of technical operations for the agency. The Director will work towards achieving business goals, minimizing security risks, increasing user satisfaction across the association, and maintaining all operations and systems while also organizing and directing the day-to-day activities within the department and managing all IT team members. This position is benefits eligible and exempt, and the salary range of the position is $117,978 - $137,000 annualized, depending on qualifications.  This position is scheduled for standard office hours, in-person at our corporate office. 

To be successful in this role, you will need strong technical and interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. As a Director, you will be responsible for supervising IT-related activities, staff, and contractors, providing timely feedback on performance, training new staff, and overseeing all technology operations including the maintenance and support of hardware and peripherals, data systems, printing/scanning devices, networking, and audio-visual and communication systems to ensure effective agency operations.

·         Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years related work experience required, preferably with some Non-Profit experience.

·         At least 3 years supervisory experience preferred.

·         Experience supporting staff across multiple locations including remote work setups preferred.

·         Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT solutions and their specifications

·         Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task while maintaining accountability for deadlines.

·         Experience leading and executing SharePoint solutions development.

Essential Functions:

 

·         Lead and develop a team of IT professionals to support Y service delivery.

·         Ensure robust 24x7 operational capability of critical IT functions.

·         Lead efforts to maintain and expand cloud infrastructure to meet the needs of a dynamic workforce.

·         Engage and collaborate with business leaders to identify key IT needs and develop project timelines based on priorities and resources.

·         Implement, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to computer, storage, network, and security.

·         Manage IT projects to ensure timeliness and excellence in solution delivery.

·         Provide technical design guidance, implementation, and support for Y projects.

·         In conjunction with senior management, define and manage appropriate IT related policies.

·         Drive continuous improvement of business processes through automation and aligned technology solutions.  

·         Work hand in hand with staff and team members to meet the organization’s technical responsibilities, including security, infrastructure, and data governance.

·         Proactively communicate with association stakeholders - from line staff to executives and volunteers.

·         Responsible for IT incident management, escalation, and problem resolution

·         Drive technology innovation in support of mission, vision and values
