Deliver accurate and timely financial information from the point of transaction through to financial close and periodic external reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
•Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance, or relevant experience.
•Minimum 3 years of general accounting experience
•Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
•Demonstrated ability to understand accounting outcomes and explain accounting treatment
•ERP systems experience

•Excellent understanding of GAAP

•Serve as the day-to-day accounting lead for assigned YMCA clients
•Serve as the YESS Finance liaison to client YMCAs operating teams
•Deliver accurate and timely GAAP financial statements to client YMCAs on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as required
•Lead the audit process including the gathering of supporting documents, development of schedules, and the completion of the final audit report(s)
•Complete and deliver internal and external financial reports as required
•Process journal entries (create, validate)
•Set up recurring, accrual and reversing journal entries
•Facilitate and perform period close activities
•Develop and maintain balancing and control standards
•Perform variance analyses and reconciliations
•Monitor and correct complex data and information errors, and identify and resolve exceptions
•Coach/ support fellow team members to handle complex issues/exceptions
•Support development of clearly defined, achievable team and individual goals.
•Evaluate exceptions to process, quality, and service delivery commitments by category
•Participate in the prioritization of targeted exceptions
•Perform root cause analysis for more complex exceptions
•Identify risks or opportunities to revenues, cost, and profitability and propose appropriate actions
•Investigate outstanding reconciliations and associated variances
•Perform other duties as assigned
