Building & Property Manager

Job Description

The Property Manager shall be knowledgeable and experienced in the maintenance of buildings and equipment.  Skills and/or Knowledge about plumbing, electricity, controls, and HVAC equipment shall be preferred. Preference shall also be given to experience in supervisory management and negotiating with outside contractors and vendors. 


 Candidate shall have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and 3-5 years of property management/maintenance experience.


Essential Functions

The Property Manager shall be responsible for, in close communication with the CEO, all repairs involving YMCA facilities and/or equipment.  He/she shall do necessary repairs himself/herself whenever practical.

When necessary, he/she shall contract with outside contractors or vendors within the guidelines of generally accepted good business practice and within the policies adopted by the Board of Directors/Trustees and/or practices established by the Executive Director. Where appropriate, such contracts shall be in writing.
