The YMCA of the Fox Cities is hiring child care teachers to interact affectionately and appreciate children’s interests. Our teachers enhance children's learning experiences through play, language and interactive activities. As a teacher in YoungStar-rated child care center, you’ll use positive procedures when guiding behavior as well as being attentive, flexible and supportive of children and families.
Full-time & part-time child care providers are needed. We will work with your schedule to find the right fit. Both entry-level assistants and lead teacher positions available.
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age and have completed high school or its equivalency as determined by the DPI.
Entry-Level Assistant Positions: Willing to obtain early childhood coursework/credentials. Staff have the ability to complete early childhood workbooks for qualifications through the Y. All applicants are encouraged to apply.
Lead Teacher Positions: Must have minimum of Introduction to the Child Care Profession and Skills and Strategies for the Childcare teacher or equivalent. Teachers working in an infant room must have Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care or its equivalent within 6 months of hire. Prefer associates degree in Early Childhood education, however not required. Experience of 1-2 years working with children.
