Job Description

The Manager of Data Analytics & Business Technology role plans, designs, develops, and launches efficient business, financial, and operations systems supporting core organizational functions and business processes.  This includes gathering and analyzing data supporting business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements.  

The Data Analytics & Business Technology Manager is responsible for generating and compiling reports based on their findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues.  This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred in Business, Information Systems, or related field desired
  • Understanding of business concepts and principles
  • Familiarity with Client Server technology and knowledge of LAN and WAN configurations
  • Microsoft Office, SQL, and Windows Operating systems knowledge and experience
  • Large-scale project management experience

  • Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
  • Sitting for extended periods.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or mouse and to handle other computer components.
  • Lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
Essential Functions
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals and identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems to enhance business processes, operations, and information process flow.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization.
  • Collaborate in the planning, designing, developing, and deploying of new applications and enhancements to existing ones.
  • Create system design proposals.
  • Perform cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in implementing decisions.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
  • Identify and establish the scope and parameters of systems analysis to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests for modified and new systems and other post-implementation support, including end-user reviews.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts.
  • Provide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members.
Required Certifications
