Job Description

Summer Camp runs June 20th- August 25th. Monday - Friday, 7:30am-5:30pm.

Pre-Camp Mandatory training days on June 3rd, 4th, 10th, and 11th 

JOB TYPE: Full-time, Temporary--SUMMER SEASONAL

SALARY: $16.00 per hour--Free Individual Membership and EAP

Qualifications
  • Current CPR, AED and First Aid Certifications
  • Desire and Ability to work with children indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to assist in teaching an activity
  • Ability to relate to one’s peer group
  • Good character, integrity, and adaptability
  • Have reliable transportation to get to camp on time on a regular basis
  • Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control
  • At least 16 years of age 
Essential Functions

Under the supervision of the Day Camp Director, the camp counselor is responsible for helping to plan and implement camp program, identify and meet camper needs, lead and guide group of campers, while maintaining YMCA day camp standards and DPH standards.
