The Hockomock Area YMCA is hiring a Senior Program Director at the Hurley Family Branch in North Attleboro, MA.  
Job Description

The Senior Program Director is responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and managing high quality and innovative programming.  Responsibilities could include oversight of any of the following departments, based on candidate experience and interest: Health & Wellness, Membership, Child Watch, Youth Enrichment, Sports, Aquatics, Nutrition, Gymnastics, or Summer Camp.  The Senior Program Director provides direct supervision of multiple Program Directors.  This position is responsible for daily operations of the assigned program departments, increasing participation and enrollment while retaining current participants through quality programming and excellent member experiences.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in the assigned departments
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales and/or customer service
  • 2-4 years of proven experience in staff and volunteer supervision
  • Budget management experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to member service, with a willingness to consistently exceed expectations
  • Track record of program development with proven success
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Project management skills
  • CPR, First Aid and AED certifications, as well as Stewards of Children child protection certification, required within 30 days of employment
Essential Functions
  • Ensures program quality is exceptional, and staff are supported and coached to provide an outstanding experience
  • Creates a welcoming environment with clients, members, and potential members to promote customer service, sales, and retention
  • Creates new programs, focusing on emerging needs, and follows through to see proven results
  • Expands programming in collaboration with program staff, ensuring quality and success
  • Executes staff development, training, goal setting and coaching
  • Attends all scheduled branch staff meetings and association-wide trainings and meetings
  • Commits to full participation in the Y’s annual fundraising campaign by attending relevant training sessions and achieving department’s fundraising goals for the campaign
  • Demonstrates support for special membership events by participating and aiding in the delivery of those events
  • Provides accurate and up-to-date facility schedules and reserves space in the building for programs
  • Develops systems for effective communication between program staff, administrative staff, and members
  • Maintains facility and equipment appearance in a neat, clean and organized manner
