The YMCA of Pawtucket and its Board of Directors’ CEO Search Committee are partnering with YMCA of the USA and KLR Executive Search Group to bring a highly motivated and proven professional to lead a strong YMCA in the Pawtucket community.
The new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will join a financially strong, mission-driven organization that enjoys a dedicated Board and staff team that have a love for the community. The CEO serves as the chief executive officer and reports to and is directly held responsible by the Board of Directors. The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for key result areas as established by the Board of Directors.
This position supports the work of the Y, one of the leading nonprofits committed to strengthening community. The CEO, in partnership with the Board at the YMCA, sets the strategic direction of the organization; oversees its financial stability, staffing, development, and operations; and positions the Y as a community convener and collaborator to address critical social issues. The CEO works under the policies, directives, and guidelines of the governing Board of Directors.

ABOUT THE AREA
Pawtucket is not only an outstanding community in which to live and work but is also a great place to play and be entertained. From Chinese dragon boats to championship Triple-A baseball, handcrafted jewelry exhibitors to live music in numerous genres, plus historical attractions, three critically acclaimed theater companies and top-notch recreational facilities. Pawtucket is part of Rhode Island’s Blackstone Valley region. Pawtucket recently opened a new commuter rail station (Providence/Stoughton Line) that serves the Northeast Corridor—a 45-minute train ride to Boston! Pawtucket offers recreational water activities from boating to fishing on the beautiful Narragansett Bay. The City has completed a Comprehensive Plan to upgrade the Festival Pier area for the enjoyment of residents and guests alike.
Pawtucket is home to a diverse array of festivals celebrating the cultural, musical, artistic, and historic assets of the community. In Pawtucket’s downtown there is the Riverfront Summer Concert Series, which features great music every Sunday during the summer. Blues, swing, jazz, and Dixieland fill the air at the Veterans Memorial Amphitheatre next to the City Hall complex on Exchange Street. The Slater Park Summer Concert Series brightens the summer season with a wealth of programming geared towards children and families.
The CT-RI is a Regional Alliance of YMCAs. The CT Alliance of YMCAs is comprised of 21 YMCAs including 36 branches and over 193 program sites. The RI Alliance of YMCAs is comprised of 5 YMCAs including 16 branches and over 28 program sites. The Board believes its new CEO should be an experienced leader who has the background and qualities that will permit him or her to achieve excellence in the following roles:
SALARY RANGE & BENEFITS
Residency Expectation: Living in the YMCA's service area is required
Salary Range: $175,000 to $220,000
