Job Description

This position supports the work of the YMCA, a leading non-profit, charitable organization to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Membership Director at the YMCA of the Georgia Sunbelt fosters a cause-centered culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing and determined.

Qualifications

-Previous supervisory experience in membership and customer service preferred

-Excellent personal computer skills and experience 

-Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

-Must  have strong interpersonal, public relations and communication skills, including the ability to make presentations

Essential Functions

- Ensures programs and services meets community needs

-Develops, produces and distributes program information necessary to promote assigned programs, in accordance with membership plans

-Promotes program and membership enrollment through interactions with existing and potential members. Coordinates program registration, includes logistics to support phone, walk-in, and web registration. 

-Ensures a level of service and engagement that fosters loyalty among those we serve

Ensures proper implementation of front desk procedures. Reviews and updates desk procedures and communities changes to staff in a clear, concise way. Coordinates with business office as necessary on financial transactions 

-Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises assigned staff and volunteers.
