Job Description

Camp Maintenance Director 2

Position Summary:

Leads and coordinates all camp building, renovation, construction, and expansion projects.  Assists with general camp maintenance, repairs, custodial, and landscaping duties.

Essential Functions:

  1. Coordinate and lead all camp renovation and construction.
  2. Personally lead work on all camp building projects.
  3. Maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
  4. Manage all subcontractors required.
  5. Order materials and supplies for all projects.
  6. Maintain appropriate records on all projects.
  7. Coordinate with the County as needed for all projects.
  8. Assist with general maintenance and labor at camp including housekeeping and groundskeeping.
  9. Assists in checking Camp for safety hazards and reports any deficiency.
  10. Assists with the upkeep and preventative maintenance schedule of all vehicles.
  11. Attend all staff meetings, trainings and other YMCA functions as required by Supervisor.
  12. Maintain open lines of communication with staff and supervisor.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. 5 or more years of related experience required.
  2. Contractor’s license preferred.
  3. Extensive knowledge and skill in multiple building trades.
  4. Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  5. Basic understanding of the upkeep, care and preventative maintenance of equipment.
  6. Criminal Clearance, health screening with negative TB, and negative drug test screening.
  7. Complete all required online trainings.
  8. CPR and First Aid preferred.

Physical Demands:

Environmental Factors:  Indoor and outdoor facilities (e.g. childcare and recreational sites); exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on slippery or uneven surfaces.  Noise level is usually moderate.
