Job Description
As the Child Care Expanded Learning Opportunity Program Director, you will provide leadership, direction, and vision to the day-to-day operations. If hired for this position, you will plan develop, administer, and evaluate off-site before and after school expanded learning opportunity care. You will be expected to provide high-quality programming and excellent customer service to students, parents, and school staff.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Two years’ related experience.
- Background in Youth Development, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, and/or Elementary Education or possess equivalent educational background in courses relating to childcare.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge is preferred and/or a degree in field of work.
- Experience in the development, delivery, and management of programs or equivalent, with full understanding of child care regulations and licensing requirements.
- Positive attitude and previous experience with children and diverse populations.
- Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, computer knowledge, and file maintenance.
- Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Essential Functions
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all sites are providing high quality care while following curriculum on a daily basis.
- Ensure all sites maintain designated staffing ratios at all times while communicating and maintaining a healthy relationship with DEL. Working closely with Washington State Licensed care site staff and their directors, as well as additional program area experts.
- Design, implement, and evaluate programs, activities, and events.
- Establish new program activities and expand program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.

Required Certifications
