Under the direction of the Senior Program Director, the Membership Director is responsible for overseeing all Member Services areas such as: Welcome Center, Child Watch, Membership Security staff, and department Volunteers. The Membership Director is also responsible for implementing membership and retention strategies; maintaining member service controls and systems, achieving revenue goals, servicing members and guests; relationship building; staff development; and performing various administrative duties as related to the position.
The Membership Director must possess the ability to lead the Membership department and work closely with all Departments to provide excellent member service and engagement resulting in strong retention while strategizing, implementing and evaluating all initiatives in new member recruitment and growth. The Membership Director also engages in and promotes the YMCA mission through the core values; Honesty, Caring, Responsibilities, Respect and Faith.
