As the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, you play a role in assisting with facilities, equipment, vehicle, and property maintenance and the administrative tasks associated with each of these job functions.  

Salary: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: 
    • You are a minimum of 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
    • You have a custodial or similar experience is preferred.
    • Proof of a good driving record and a valid driver’s license is required.
  • Teamwork: You are a team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude; you work well with others and are able to establish productive and professional relationships with colleagues and parents
  • Organized and Productive: You are timely, organized, and able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments
  • Strong Communicator:  Proficient in MS Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs.
  • Commitment:  You commit yourself to consistently bringing the fun, being positive, engaging, and caring. You understand the importance of routine with children and commit to consistently fulfilling your scheduling requirements

Essential Functions

Availability: You are available to consistently work Monday – Friday during typical business hours. You are also available to respond to after-hour maintenance and security-related calls after hours, including on weekends and holidays for emergency needs. 

  • Proactively maintain the business property and its surrounding grounds. Implement maintenance plans to ensure that property is well maintained and preventative maintenance routinely occurs. Oversee company recycling efforts ensuring compliance with City of Austin regulations.  
  • Perform basic building repairs which include basic maintenance. Supervise contractors for repair work as needed.
  • Schedule and ensure regular maintenance of the EACY vehicle fleet, including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations/replacement, washing, and required vehicle inspections.
  • Serve as the onsite liaison to the janitorial, grounds care, sanitation, security, and any additional maintenance and repair contractors.
  • Conduct daily cleaning and organization of business office
  • Serve as the liaison to EACY Business staff, responding to, fulfilling, and documenting basic maintenance and equipment repairs.
  • Maintain office equipment and fixed assets of the organization including repair and disposal of equipment as needed.
  • Deliver and pickup center supplies as needed.
  • Work with appropriate EACY staff to purchase major appliances and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings.
  • Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions
