Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Association Director of Membership is responsible for the growth of membership revenue and membership engagement including the creation of community collaborations and strategic partnerships.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
1. Drive increased membership revenue through the development and implementation of innovative sales strategies and closing sales best practices.
2. Serve our diverse communities equitably and act with an inclusive, anti-racist lens at all times; promote a brave, respectful culture at the Y.
3. Develop and implement innovative sales strategies, create and maintain detailed sales and prospect data, and work in conjunction with the Association Marketing Director and any other partner marketing agencies.
4. Work through and with branch membership teams and directors to ensure membership engagement.
5. Ensure the consistent focus on members and prospects is top priority across the Association by providing leadership, support, and timely feedback to branch teams.
6. Coach and train staff in creating a culture of excellence in sales presentations, closing techniques, impeccable phone interactions, and in-person service. Teach and mentor others to replicate.
7. Develop systems to evaluate branch staff teams to know that all branches across the Association are performing at or above minimum standards.
8. Develop systems that ensure accurate and consistent prospect and new member tracking and follow up procedures—implement timely reporting of all relevant data in support of monitoring performance.
9. Counsel and support branch executive directors and engagement teams to achieve goals.
10. Work with health and wellness program leadership to further refine, enhance, and implement health and wellness program standards and quality, including group exercise and personal training guidelines.
11. Support the Leadership Development and Training department in the delivery of health and wellness certification training and other staff development opportunities within the Association and regionally.
12. Collaborate with program leadership and designated branch staff to design and implement action plans and a process to support the action steps to achieve enhanced member engagement.
13. Role model strong fiscal stewardship through the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasting.
14. Meet and exceed monthly and annual membership sales and revenue goals.
15. Achieve consistent, distinguished member satisfaction surveys resulting in sustained growth in membership revenues and units.
16. All other related duties as assigned.
