Job Description

Under the direction of the VP, Quality and Risk, the Manager, Quality and Risk will support quality and risk management operations, including incident investigation, claims and contract management, insurance renewal, incident reporting, and administrative tasks. In addition, the Manager, Quality and Risk will perform audits and quality checks.

  •  Previous administrative experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in insurance and/or contract management preferred
  • Outstanding client service focus, patience critical
  • Demonstrated history successfully completing simultaneous tasks while maintaining high-quality results and meeting or exceeding deadlines


  • High School diploma or GED (Required) 
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in: Business, Finance or related field (Preferred) 


  • Two years experience in a related field
  • Y experience helpful
Essential Functions

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with the renewal and purchase of insurance; management of claims and loss control activities; preparing loss analyses; identifying exposures; recommending solutions; implementing approved programs; promoting loss prevention; updating and monitoring compliance with insurance procedures. 

The Manager, Quality and Risk works with the HR team on the administration of workers' compensation claims. He/she must understand and implement programs, policies, and procedures for: reporting, investigation, and analysis; resolution/outcome management; and the delivery of claim information. He/she must build, maintain, and manage relationships with claims adjusters, insurers, and other claims related parties. 

The Manager, Quality and Risk is responsible for managing, monitoring, and handling any risks the Association may face in the area of insurance and claims.  Including, but not limited, to the following: 

  • Manage all contracts for the association in all business lines (ContractWorks)

  • Manage Sex Offender Registry screening process (Raptor and Y-USA)

  • Manage all subpoenas and all legal requests

  • Review all incident reports and identify hazards and recommend strategies for risk mitigation

  • Administration of invoices and user accounts related to insurance, contracts, member feedback, and other business systems

  • Create and modify procedures and documents related to insurance policies

  • Assist in claims management

  • Direct information for claimants, referring them to the appropriate insurance carrier

  • Assist with claims investigations

  • Review insurance policies and license agreements

  • Manage insurance data for reports

  • Assist the VP of Quality and Risk in ensuring Centers are in compliance with current contract standards

  • Assist in the administration and resolution of workers' compensation claims

  • Production of high quality monthly, quarterly, or annual reports

  • Periodically scheduled to be “on-call” during hours outside of the regular work schedule

  • Manage administration of membership satisfaction applications (Listen360)

  • Administration of invoices and user accounts related to insurance, contracts, member feedback, and other business systems

  • Performance of other duties as assigned
