This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The full-time Senior Program Director position will work as part of a dynamic, caring and hopeful team to lead a cohort of school-aged services staff ensuring high-quality programs where students experience achievement, belonging and relationships. Specifically, in this role, the Senior Program Director will oversee a group of grant-funded afterschool and summer programs in Shelby County (Memphis), TN.

This person must understand the basic concepts, vision and mission of the YMCA to ensure the successful operation of these programs and the development of new program initiatives including staff leadership and development, community relations and collaborations, partnerships and policy, budgeting and financial results.

The full-time work schedules may vary per the Y’s hours of operation. Most Y’s are open 7 days a week:
Mon. – Fri. 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
This position requires a flexible schedule will some evenings and weekends at certain times of the year.
