Job Description

This position focuses on the development and advancement of The Y’s mission through programs and services based upon our three pillars: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. This position will further develop existing programs/services, as well as foster new relationships and collaborations for future services. As a key and integral employee of the Y, the Director of Mission Advancement will work closely with the other departments to foster a culture of co-creation and provide consistency and uniformity to The Y’s programs and services.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree not required, but preferred.

Essential Functions

·Integrate into the community for relationship building and representation of The Y and its mission fulfillment.

·Lead, or assist when needed, the mission of the YMCA through presentations, social media and direct communication with donors, prospective donors, social organizations, and other local opportunities.

·Promotes successful marketing campaigns in correlation with our programs, annual/capital campaign, and strategic plan.

·Foster and further develop connections that aid in the direction of the Strategic Plan and The Y’s mission.

·Further develop or create mission driven services.

·Attend certain YUSA sponsored trainings and conferences for continued education and consistent and up to date knowledge of The Y and its mission.

·Assist in the research and acquisition of grants and other avenues of funding.

·Assists and sometimes lead in YMCA fundraising activities and special events.

·Works closely with CEO to relay information from staff to members and members to staff.

·Communicate a positive attitude to all members, program participants and staff. 

·Oversees the facilitation of the Wellness Department.

·Accept additional responsibilities and perform other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate in order to help the YMCA accomplish its Mission
