Resident Camp Program Director (PD) is responsible for supervising and guiding the staff throughout the summer experience. The PD is responsible for the organization and leadership of the daily programs and evening activities. Our Program Director is also required to fill all other staff administration roles which may include, but are not limited to: night supervisor and manager on duty. The PD must review camper and parent information, prepare tent assignments, create unit/staff schedules, and supervise the outcomes of the schedules. The PD must be the key liaison between parents and campers regarding any parent or camper issues. There must be communication with the Day Camp PD, Camp Directors, and office staff. The PD must serve as a positive role model for staff. Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record. Position salary negotiable based on experience. Prefer candidate available May - August. This is a live on site full time position, seasonal for summer of 2022.
To Apply: Must be at least 21 years of age and have at least three years summer staff or child care experience. Preference given to candidates with previous leadership or management experience. Must possess the ability and desire to work with children, and have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well. Must be prepared to handle large amounts of responsibility and remain level-headed in any situation. Must exhibit: integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm, and respect. This is a live on site position.
CPR and first aid. Lifeguard and High ropes preferred (all of these certifications can be obtained at PLYC)
