We are happy to provide families with options of trusted resources for their child care needs. The YMCA sources child care providers throughout San Diego County, which include non-YMCA child care sites. Our database of care providers include all licensed child care centers and family child care homes, nanny agencies and license-exempt school based programs. When you invest time and thought in your search, you can find a child care provider who provides a secure, safe and nurturing environment for your child. We’re here to get you started.
Child care searches can be done by: age of the child, type of program, hours of care, and area of care needed.
Referrals will include: name of the child care provider, telephone number, license number, and additional information about the child care program.

Ensuring Your Child’s Safety
The majority of child care centers and all family child care homes are licensed by the California Department of Social Services (DSS) Community Care Licensing division (CCL) to ensure that minimum health and safety standards are met.
As a parent or guardian, you have the right and responsibility to review a potential child care provider’s public record to obtain information on substantiated or inconclusive complaints and violations before placing your child in their care.
